Political Fever
Boy, tempers are beginning to flare around various Party political stands and acts. This morning I witnessed a huge argument between Democrats and Republicans because John McCain missed a Congressional vote today to add tax rebates for vets and senior citizens to the previously approved bill. What I really took from this is there is little if any opportunity to sway mid to extreme party members of either side because they simply can't hear what you are saying if it falls outside their belief comfort zone.
I would expect to see more and more fireworks as we get closer and closer to November. The really big question I have though is whether the backers of Hillary and/or Barack will be able and willing to switch allegiance to the actual final candidate nominated at the convention? For that matter, will the Romney/Huckabee supporters get behind McCain? Interesting year.
The granddaddy of all questions though is what will our newly elected president actually accomplish once they are in office next year, will they remain focused on the most important stuff and prioritize accordingly like the current administration?
Only time and our baited breath will tell.
